L'Atelier ma petite grande sœur is my creative space. My name is Josée Tremblay, a self-taught visual artist. I have lived in Estrie for over 25 years. I have been drawing, writing, and cutting out images since adolescence. In the early 2000s, I started daily creative journaling. During those years, I took courses and experimented with several mediums and mixed techniques. In the fall of 2019, I started painting outside my journal, on small canvases measuring 6 X 6 or 4 X 4. I use acrylic paint, watercolor, pastels, colored pencils, markers, collage, image transfer... I just have fun! In 2023/2024, I expanded my formats. I now paint large canvases as well. They are always unique; I create three canvases at a time in different formats, and I never do the exact same thing. The themes reappear, but I like to think they are part of a story, each time marking a significant milestone. My passion is constantly evolving.
