She taught visual arts at the secondary level for over twenty years. At the same time, she became a professional painter. Louise Larose paints with acrylics.

She draws us into abstract landscapes where the visual language is very personal. Her broad and spontaneous brushstrokes are instinctive, reminiscent of the Automatists' style.
