She taught visual arts at the secondary level for over twenty years. At the same time, she became a professional painter. Louise Larose paints with acrylics.

She draws us into abstract landscapes with a very personal visual language. Her broad, spontaneous gestures are instinctive, reminiscent of the Automatists.

Her work is often textured with contrasting colors. Her sensibility is recognized by her way of communicating with her imagination.
