Keeping butter at a spreadable consistency, at room temperature, without it going rancid—that's the mission of the Breton butter keeper.
1-Place the butter with a spoon into the lid.
2- Fill the container with fresh water, add a pinch of salt; the butter should be submerged in the water.
3-Place the lid back onto its container.
4-Change the water every 3 days, depending on the temperature.
(every day in summer)
If you are leaving for an indefinite period, remove the water and put your butter keeper in the fridge.
