A remarkable artist, who has won numerous awards and recognitions. His intimate connection with nature and his inextinguishable love for the material is reflected in his sculptures.❤️

Born in Lebanon, Joe Jbeily has lived in Canada for over 30 years. His interest in art began at the age of 9, and throughout his studies in art and sociology, sculpture occupied a large part of his youth. Olive wood, due to its symbolism and history, was for many years the primary material for his sculptures.

"Wood, a living and fascinating material, always remains a great source of inspiration. Exploring the bulges and voids that time and the elements inflict on wood, I make the material speak by accentuating physical or psychological resemblances that echo our human condition."
