DIANE CHAMPAGNE - Painter

DIANE CHAMPAGNE was born in Saint-Zénon, a municipality in the Lanaudière region. From a young age, she developed a keen interest in the arts.

After attending several open workshops in watercolor, painting, and live models, she completed a fashion design course in Montreal, a profession she practiced for over 15 years. Enriched by this experience and her numerous travels abroad, she re-appropriated her art to create her own artisanal brand of ready-to-wear children's clothing and fashion accessories for women under the label "DICHA."

In 2010, she left Montreal to live in Val-Morin, a municipality in the Laurentians. There, she met inspiring artists who rekindled her first passion...painting. She experimented and worked with various mediums: acrylic, ink, charcoal, and collage.

A magician, it is through nature, her inspiration, that she transforms the concrete into symbols to enchant. Her quest: to perceive, within illusion, the full depth of reality. It is through the interplay of colors, movement, and form that one feels the unreality of her universe. All subjects are metaphors of her soul. Thus, her art becomes an inspiration for interpretations...like a dream.
